Bye Bye Brother

Tonight I saw Anthony for the last time before he heads off for a four month working trip to the UK. His send off was pretty novel as he decided to screen a selection of the short films he had written/directed or produced during the past few years. He has this knack of surprising his whole family on what he is capable of, and this time was no exception. He is a very talented boy. The night was great and he must have enjoyed seeing his hard work for everyone to see up on the big screen. I was taken aback when the credits rolled for one of the films and I saw my name up there…. What the?? Apparently ages ago I lent him a pair of cricket pads to use for a shoot, ah well I’ll take the glory.
Anthony is more known for all the artistic and technical work behind the scenes but he sometimes steps in front of the camera when needed to act as an extra. He does have some hidden talent in that area I must say, although seeing his name in the actors credit “Anthony Noack – Cricketer #1” was just wrong as I thought I had that title sewn up in the family years ago. The last time I remember him being slightly interested in cricket was years ago when he fancied himself as a leg spinner in the back yard and bowled to me a couple of times. I think this is where I got my batting patience from (and learnt the necessity of wearing a helmet) as the session usually went ‘beam ball, beam ball, beam ball, grubber, good length ball three meters outside the off stump and on the way to mums car, and finally a decent ball I could get bat on.’ I was stoked that the night went well for him and am looking forward to what he has to show next time when he gets back to Australia.

I shed a few tears on the way home as a proud sister should.

Cheers,

Ingrid

No, but we could do that. The walls are covered in paint strangely enough. Ingrid is weird...

Anthony will be gone for four months so we could overhaul his room by then. Cover the walls in Egg cartons, paint them all purple and have a sign on his door saying "Ingrids second room, keep out". I like the sound of that.

Ok, our next band project is a home renovation one. Do you think we could get backyard blitz around? I'm sure if we gave them enough of a sob story we could!
