Whoohoo for Open Mic Nights.
What a night. Megan and I have just returned to our respective homes after our longest stint together on stage thus far. The open stage night tonight at Wattle Park was heaps of fun. We were able to do two sets of 6 each which was great. We are used to doing 3-4 songs at other open mic nights so having the opportunity to do so many was really a treat. During our second set we had one of the other performers come up and help us along with some violin playing. Very novel, and it makes me want to convince Megan to dust off her own violin and give it a burl.
Thanks for everyone who came along, we appreciate the support and we hope to do it again very soon. We will hopefully be debuting a few more original songs for next week.
cheers,
Ingrid:)

Extreme, what? That would be a great investment in quality music! I'm sure at least Megan will agree with me on that one.
Invest! INVEST!!!
You want me to play my violin?! I'm not sure you're aware of just how rusty I am!
I had so much fun last night!
Or you can just bring your wonderful new keyboard along and use the violin tone???
It was great last night. Can't wait to do it again.
oh good idea! I love my keyboard!!!
If I did that would you play two recorders at the same time with your nose kath? (rumour has it that it's a hidden talent of yours)
I'm sure we could worm it into our act somehow.
I'd love to bring my keyboard to an open mic night, but it doesn't work very well because it takes too long to set up and pack up, not fair to other acts.
