Hitting the Open Mic circuit again!!

Finally Megan and I are again playing at an open mic gig after a bit of a 'break' from the heavy touring schedule. Or should I say the typical "due to working on 'other projects' for the time being" line. Which for me has been actually earning some money instead of spending it. Speaking of which I'm wasting time at work currently by blogging, ah this is the life. Anyway it'll be great to get up on stage again and belt out some tunes. We're finally getting our performable original song count up and I'm pretty excited an orginal of mine will have it's public debut tonight. This particular song is one I wrote about three years ago so in a way because it's old I feel somewhat distant to the song now, which makes it easier to put out in the public domain! The people who have listened to so far all think it's about something different to the other, so I have four different meanings to the song so far!! whoohoo. That's what I love about songs, no interpretation is right or wrong as it's up to the individual to take what they want!!
Anyway I am nervous thinking about tonight, as always, but I'll have Megan hoping I don't start playing in the wrong key and my lovely guitar to hide behind to make me feel at home up there.
cheers
Ingrid:)

Yeah, I'd really appreciate it if you played song in the correct key. Makes things awkward for me when you put the capo on the wrong fret! :)

Well next time just detach yourself from the music. Pfft, as if I'd ever get lost in the moment and forget the words..... It's not like I've ever skipped a verse and made the song go for half as long.
