5/5
Dads not talking to be now as I got my fifth letter to the editor in both the Saturday Herald Sun and the Age today.
The Age, Herald Sun, 23rd July
Insensitive PM
As I have family and friends in London, I watched the broadcast about the July 21 bomb attacks with interest. In the initial media conference, in which Tony Blair gave the first details of the attack, John Howard was invited to respond. After he expressed his shock, he moved on to congratulating London on its 2012 Olympics win, while also mentioning that he hoped there would not be too many other English victories in the future (in obvious reference to the cricket).
I am embarrassed that Mr Howard expressed such insensitivity. Surely the press conference was an appropriate forum to simply express Australia's concern and offer to help London, rather than involving cricket and a cheap swipe at England in this difficult time.cheers,
Ingrid:)

Nice! That's a good letter. And I'm very impressed with your continuous publications! You certainly are Miss Editorial these days! And not to mention I think you raised a good point in your letter. I agree.
Thanks Meags, Anthony is in London at the moment so our household was abit tense. I just get sick of John Howard brining cricket into everything, he even wears an Australian cricket tracksuit in his morning walks. Gee I'd love to bowl a beam ball at him.
