Merry Christmas
Christmas has come and gone once again, gotta love this time of year. The past month has flown by really quickly and it's great to be on Summer holidays! The school year ended up well and I'm looking forward to going back next year and starting the year afresh with the experience the past 6 months has brought.
Megan and I had our first paid gig the other weekend which was pretty exciting. Rob came along to do the tech stuff like setting up the pa and we felt like real musos for once. We were 'headline' entertainment for a street party held at a church in Prahran which was a lovely evening.
Erin and I went to the grampians in the week leading up to christmas which was cool. I hadn't been before so was keen to check out all there was to see. Definately want to go back there as there are only so many walks that can be done in 3 days. Halls Gap was pretty deserted when we were there as it was the week leading up to christmas which meant there were no queues for anything which was great. Definately the time to go.
I'm a bit sick at the moment which sucks as it is the holiday festive season and all. But at least this gives me a chance to blog as it's a struggle to get out of my room at the moment. Send some sympathy my way please. thanks.
Went to the Boxing Day test yesterday pretty much to see Brad Hodge bat. It was worth going just for the roar and standing ovation he got from the 70,000 strong crowd when he walked out to bat. It was disapointing he only made 7 runs, but he must have been on edge with that welcome to the crease, and the realisation he was living out his boy hood dream. Goosebump stuff that and good on him.
cheers,
Ingrid:) aka the slack blogger
