Back on stage

Synery will be back on the open mic stage this Thursday night . Details are the same as last week and we will be on stage roughly 8.30-9.
We have our own band blog now at Synergy which has further details.
We will be debuting four new songs!! These are "More than this" by Megan, and 'Don't Want to', ' 'That hold on me' and ' no time for regrets' by me. Come and check us out!!

School Holidays

Well I'm into the second week of the school holidays and my natural body clock is well and truly in control. If I could control the world I would re work our perception of the working day. I would make the working hours between 10.30am - 6.30pm, Free time between 6.30pm - 2.30am and the normal time to sleep between 2.30 and 10.30am.
As hard as I try I just cannot fit in with what I'm meant to do. I find that between 1030pm and 2.30am I am at my most productive and creative (even when alcohol is not invovled!!). Really frustrates me in any other time excpet the holidays.
Cheers to one more week of living in 'ingi time'.

Whoohoo for Open Mic Nights.

What a night. Megan and I have just returned to our respective homes after our longest stint together on stage thus far. The open stage night tonight at Wattle Park was heaps of fun. We were able to do two sets of 6 each which was great. We are used to doing 3-4 songs at other open mic nights so having the opportunity to do so many was really a treat. During our second set we had one of the other performers come up and help us along with some violin playing. Very novel, and it makes me want to convince Megan to dust off her own violin and give it a burl.
Thanks for everyone who came along, we appreciate the support and we hope to do it again very soon. We will hopefully be debuting a few more original songs for next week.

Open Miking returns!!!

Megan and I will be back on stage tomorrow night introducing our new acoustic duo name "Synergy", and two new songs "Let's sit a while", by Megan, and "Jaded", by me.

We will be at the Wattle Park Chalet. Melways J2, K3 in Surry Hills. The night runs from 8pm until 11pm but we are not sure exactely what time we will be playing so feel free to text before rocking up.

Yes that is how Rubys Lounge in Belgrave advertises itself to the rest of Melbourne in their pamphlets!! If I were a local resident perhaps I would be offended. But as I live 50 minutes away that’s ok.
Anyway I saw ‘Lior’ play a solo gig out there tonight and he was absolutely awesome. The support act was shit so that only served to make Lior even better!! Highly recommended.

12 months until the 2006 grand final

It's now Sunday night and I have finally come to terms with Geelong losing the final on Friday night. What a tragic event. I think thats all I can write about it without getting all sad again. Moving on.

But anyway on a better note I bought the long awaited Live Dvd of Didos. It is absolutely awesome and I have been playing it all night.

Some pretty exciting things are happening at the moment. I've set up a little home music studio and am starting to teach private lessons on the piano at the start of term 4. Things have been pretty hectic getting everything organised but it's all well on track now. My website will be revealed shortly:)

I have afew students lined up and will start promoting things abit more shortly. So in the meantime if anyone you know is interested in learning the piano send them my way!!

Brief Blog

My life in dot point form

- still sleep deprived due to ashes

- music filled, with teaching all day, and practicing at night for my exam at the end of the year

- Footy final orientated, cats better win on Saturday as I'm going to the game.

- Mums getting better and is walking around without crutches.

- Anthony has extended his time overseas and will now be back in December (cue to get the drum kit back in his room )

- and Megan and my acoustic duo is now called synergy.

- that's it.
